I've Learned

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I've learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust
and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life
but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned that you shouldn't compare your self to the best others can do,
but to the best you can do.
I've learned that it's not what happens to people,
It's what they do about it.
I've learned that no matter how thin you slide it,
there are always two sides.
I've learned that you should always have loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you'll see them.
I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
When it needs to be done,regardless of the consequences.
I've learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken,
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.
I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.
I've learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves go farther in life.
I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.
I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.
I've learned that writing, as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life
are taken from you too soon.
I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice
and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.
I've learned to love and be loved.

I stood in front of the mirror,
Taking a look at my gawky reflection.
When it suddenly struck me,
There are two shades of Gods creation.

Why is that some are born as white as snow
While, most others are well like me,
Why is that some have tresses the color of gold,
While mine were as black as could be.

How is it that some have sea green eyes.
Or some a lovely blue
How come the gift of a well shaped nose
Is given only to few.

Why is there so much discrimination
On the part of the God above,
One color for the races
The creator should allow.

But it is none so, and that is tragedy
For all those like me,
And the injustice of the one above
Is there for all to see.

Indeed it was bitter that day,
And I was still angry when I fell asleep.
All men are equal, this promise I thought,
Even God has forgot to keep.

That night I had a very strange dream.
I dreamnt that I had crossed over to the other world,
I stood near the gates of Heaven
Around me flags of all colors unfurled.

I stood there for quite some time
Admiring the house of God.
When all of a sudden I realized
I stood face to face with God.

'So my little girl' God began
With a voice forcefully deep
I hear you find me unjust and mean
For my own promises I don't keep

I stood there in guilty silence
As the wise one stroked his beard
I though it unwise to stand and argue
With some one I greatly feared.

'To begin with little one' God said
'All color prejudice is man made'
The very prejudice of so called injustice
Man himself has laid.

Then with a twinkle in his eye God added.
Let me tell u some thing I haven't told anyone before
Up here in this place so called heaven
I own a costume store.

To each of them who come to me
A nice costume I do lend
A sweet outfit that remains with you
Till the very end.

And it is with all these, one must learn to live
Learn to grow and bloom,
Each should learn to help and share
Irrespective of the color of the costume

For after all each one returns
After they've done the work, the whole
The only color that matters to me
Is the color of every soul.

And so for the ones boastful of their fair color
Well now they needn't be
For all of all at the end of the day
All costumes come back to me

So why should it bother you little girl
If you don't have the tresses the color of gold.
Its far more important to have a clear conscious
A conscious alive and bold

And not having a well shaped nose
Is not what I call a sin.
And fair should be the deed you know
And not the color of your skin.

And the chuckling God added
After that explanation of burrowing and lending
I'd much appretiate it little girl
If this poem had a happy ending

And so here I am fully convinced
Thats its all indeed fair
It may not be absolute all around
But atleast up there!!!

Two traveling angels

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.
The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.
Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.
As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.
When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,
"Things aren't always what they seem."
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.
After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.
When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.
Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.
The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?
The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.
The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.
"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.
"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.
Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."
"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.

I was going through an old bunch of photographs, and the feeling that took me over can put it into words even if I knew every word in the dictionary. I hope I had a time machine, which could take me back to the past.....each photo had a story of it own. Some thing which u forget completely, just one glimpse at the photograph and the memories just came rushing. It was at that second that I realized how I miss my past.

A SMALL ADVISE : Take some time and just go through your old pictures, I'm telling you it will be worth the ride to your past n its worth PRICELESS!!!

The Marriage & Children Lines
Marriage is indicated by the little line (or lines) that are located just below the base of the little finger. Several light lines in this area will indicate romances. The Head Line

Being the second most important line, the Head Line deals with your beliefs, your philosophy, your attitude on and how you approach life. It is a representation of your mentality and intelligence. Because it is so important, the Head Line must be present on the palm.

The Head Line begins just above the life line, on the side of the palm between the thumb and the index finger, and spans horizontally across the palm.

Special markings on this line indicate specific events which occurred in your life. The line can be divided into three parts to help judge when certain events occurred or might occur: (1) represents youth, (2) represents adult, (3) represents old age.

If your Head Line and Life Line are joined at the beginning, this indicates that your strong sense of mind generally rules over your body. You also look at childhood with a cautious and fearful outlook. Separated lines show a love for adventure and an enthusiasm for life.

A deep long line stretching across the palm indicates a logical and direct way of thinking. The straighter the line, the more realistic the thinking, and the deeper the line, the better the memory. If the line is short however, it tends to indicate limited mental aims, and the shift towards "physical" thinking rather than reflection.

If the line is wavy then you tend to have a short attention span, with a lack of deep thinking, however, this does not affect your intellect.

If the line is short and curved upwards, then you tend to have a short attention span, also known as a scatterbrain. A long line that curves upward represents more of a retentive memory. However if the line swoops down towards the heel, the person tends to be imaginative and creative.

A donut or a cross through the Head Line represents a mental crisis.

A broken line shows a distinct change in your way of thinking, sometimes even characteristic of a nervous breakdown.

A star on your line represents a significant mental achievement.

Crosses through the line indicate major decisions in your life.

The space created between the Life Line and the Head Line is known as the Angle of Luck. The greater the space, the greater your luck. The smaller the space, the less luck seems to stand by your side.

PALM READING - LIFE LINE

The Life Line represents your vitality and the length of your life. This is the most important line on your hand and will always be present. The Life Line is the easiest to recognize and helps to determine where your other lines are. Generally if the line swoops down to about an inch above the base of the palm, then it shows a life expectancy of about 70 years for women, and 60-65 for men.

This line begins on the edge of the palm, between the index finger and the thumb. It extends across the middle of the palm and wraps around the base of the thumb.

Special markings on this line indicate specific events which occurred in your life. The line can be divided into three parts to help judge when certain events occurred or might occur: (1) represents youth, (2) represents adult, (3) represents old age.

If the Life Line is long and deep, then this represents a long life full of vitality and health. A short line, if strong and deep, also shows great vitality in your life and the ability to overcome health problems. However, if the line is short and shallow, then your life may have the tendency to be controlled by others.

Extra lines are often noted as vitality lines. If your Life Line is doubled, or even tripled, then this shows a great vitality in your life, and positive forces around you.

A swooping semicircular line around the base of the thumb shows great strength and enthusiasm, as well as an improved love life.

If the line is straight and sticks close to the side of your palm, then this is a sign of a limited exploration of love and a very cautious nature.

This type of line extends to the middle of the palm, away from the thumb towards the base of the hand. This represents a life that consists of a lot of travelling.

A chained line indicates various health problems, both physical and emotional. Many people with allergies have such a line as well.

A donut indicates hospitalization as a result of some sort of accident.

A break represents a sudden change in life style, an accident or an illness.

Lines crossing through the Life Line indicate either worries or danger, however a star indicates some sort of crisis.

A square on the line indicates protection at a time it is needed. It may also mark a turning point in your life.

Lines extending up and above the Life Line show the ability to recover from situations.

Lines extending below the Life Line show a habit of wasting energy.

All of us have grown up hearing jokes..... there's no denying it Ant - elephant are most undoubtedly one of r favorite, so just thought y not mention a few of them JFF.....

:) Once there was an elephant walking on the edge of a valley, full of water. Suddenly the elephant fell into the water. So, what is the first thing he will do ???

Have you ppl ever wondered, how one after the other a day come by n then goes by....but even the longest day in ur life passes......

The best day in ur life,a day u wish lasted for ever, a day u wish was like every other day in ur life.....
The worst day in ur life, u feel like jumping of a building.... ok this is exagerating but a day u felt like hope i was invisible, or thought y did i even have to get out of bed today....
The irony.... both do come to an end.
Why i write this down... i dont knw.....
guess was just a passing thought.....but its so true....aint it......

I do know that there are a lot of movie buffs out thr. It is only enjoyed when there a little bit of everything; action, romance, drama, comedy, emotion, sentiment, suspense n blah blah!!!
may b its the same with life too. Other wise don't you think it will get too monotonous.

Hmm.... fun is when u take one day at a time..cuz if u knw they are anyway coming towards you one after the other...so y wait for somwthing u knw is gonna come and get u.....want to or not there is no stopping them.....All i can say is good ones keep them in ur memory...bad ones let go ppl...y bother even remembering them....
